Control the Bleeding and Narcan Kits

Hemorrhage/Bleeding Control and Narcan Kits Added to Campus AED Cabinets.

Posted in: Emergency, Injuries

Health Update

As part of our ongoing dedication to preparedness and the safety of our campus, EMS has installed hemorrhage/bleeding control kits and Narcan in our Automated External Defibrillator (AED) cabinets across campus. View a List of AED Cabinet Locations.

It is important to emphasize that our priority remains the prevention of emergencies and the safety of all individuals on campus. The addition of these kits is a proactive measure to empower members of our community with the tools and knowledge needed to respond to emergencies until professional medical help arrives.

Training Opportunities

We are also offering training sessions for those interested in learning how to utilize the contents of the hemorrhage control and/or Narcan kits. It is important for our community members in need that you know how to use these devices so you are best equipped to help. If you or your department would like to participate in these training sessions, please feel free to contact EMS at 973-655-7836 or ems@993874.com. We will work with you to schedule convenient training and answer any questions you may have. We will also be adding items in time to our community at the Bloomfield College of Montclair.

Your safety and well-being are our top priorities, and we believe that being prepared for emergencies is a crucial aspect of campus life. Together, we can create a safer environment for everyone.

Sincerely,

Michelle Kight
